Rob McGaffin assists City officials working within the Department of Spatial Planning & Urban Design to better understand the space economy by examining the nature of the city’s economy – where it exists, what drives it and what land use patterns occur as a result.
The City of Cape Town’s goals to become more inclusive, denser and more sustainable, it is important for it to understand the drivers behind the city’s form and structure so that it can intervene in a more strategic and effective manner. This project assists in building the knowledge base essential to reach these goals.
