Bio
Tammy Wilks is a scholar of religions in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Cape Town (UCT). Her research examines the narratives and practices how religious communities in Nairobi, Kenya invent and employ to navigate the dynamics of an urban city. She is a lead researcher on the joint four-year (2024-2028) project between ACC and University of Copenhagen entitled ‘CLAIMS to Energy Citizenship’. Tammy holds a PhD: Study of Religions from UCT.
