Pathways to transform urban food system

This report presents five pathways toward the progressive realisation of the right to food in low- income urban areas in Africa. It is the result of a 1.5 year transdisciplinary research collaboration with our partners in Cape Town and Nairobi that explored how low-income urban communities were coping with Covid-19 and other crises. With funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the partners investigated the impact of the crisis on vulnerable households and jointly explored various community-based solutions to address immediate hunger and build resilience to external shocks.
