Afrotecha.urban brownbag

As ‘Urban October’ kicks off, ACC’s afrotecha.urban team invites you to a brownbag about youth, technology and digital cultures in African cities. Drawing on two years of research, @afrotecha.urban will share what they have learnt about the intersection of youth and technology in urban Africa, paying particular attention to policy-implementation-scapes; socio-technical value chains from cobalt mines to street corners, back pockets, and dump sites; digital ghost(ings)s; and creative methods. They will also give a sneak peek into the project activities unfolding in Durban, Nairobi, Cairo and Cape Town.
