Taylor’s work on this projects forms a part of her PhD research on the governance conditions for adapting to climate change at the city scale. The research involves working with ideas of hybridity, policy mutation, paradigm shifts, relational networks and processes of socio-institutional learning. Anna also plays a coordinating role in phase 2 of the Climate Change Think Tank, a deliberative space for leaders in Cape Town’s public, private and civil society spheres to debate and collectively construct local pathways for navigating climate change. The Climate Change Think Tank is also a forum for commissioning key pieces of strategic research and sharing knowledge amongst researchers and practitioners, positioned in different organisations and departments, who are working on a variety of inter-related issues pertaining to climate change.
