Postdoctoral Research Fellow РRadical Incrementalism & Situated Urban Political Ecology (May 2015 РApril 2017)

I have an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cape Town, and a Ph.D. in Human Geography from the University of Manchester. My broad research interests revolve around the themes of urban governance, green development, citizen participation, resource & infrastructural distribution and equity. I examine these themes through adopting a relational approach to the city. In other words, I am inspired by a reading of the city as continuously re-produced through a dynamic assemblage of human and non-human actors. This approach serves to support an examination of 1) how and why cities are produced in particular forms and 2) how future alternative environments may potentially be organised.’
