African Centre for Cities hosts a special seminar with ACC Honorary Professor AbdouMaliq Simone on Wednesday, 1 July from 14:00 to 15:30. The seminar is entitled Back on Maggie’s Farm, But Maggie Nowhere in Sight: the turbulent recalibration state and collective life.¬†

We are caught up in a maelstrom of anti-racist political surges and an overwhelming public health crisis, which exposes deep fault lines in our cities. This moment affords us an opportunity to reflect on the implications for cities across the global South.
